If you're new to Pilates or joining an existing class (not Beginners only), I recommend an initial one-to-one assessment.
This allows us to evaluate your posture, individual needs, and medical history, while teaching you the Pilates principles and how to apply them to your body. The assessment ensures you join the most suitable class at the right level. This is essential for anyone referred by a medical professional or wishing to join Back4Good classes.
Pilates for Life
Gentle, effective Pilates for maintaining independence and quality of life. Mixed ability classes focusing on functional movement, balance, and everyday strength.
What is Pilates for Life?
These classes focus on effective movement and body awareness that you can bring into your everyday life – getting up from chairs, carrying shopping, maintaining balance and preventing falls.
We look at functional movement patterns, sometimes using props and weights. There is an emphasis on healthy movement, knowing why you are doing particular movements and how they relate to your everyday actions.
Who is this for?
People of all ages and abilities and older adults wanting to stay active and independent. It is a good class for those recovering from injury, hip or back issues but also age related conditions such as arthritis.
