If you're new to Pilates or joining an existing class (not Beginners only), I recommend an initial one-to-one assessment.
This allows us to evaluate your posture, individual needs, and medical history, while teaching you the Pilates principles and how to apply them to your body. The assessment ensures you join the most suitable class at the right level. This is essential for anyone referred by a medical professional or wishing to join Back4Good classes.
Matwork Classes
Traditional Pilates on the mat for all levels and abilities. Build strength, improve flexibility, and develop body awareness in supportive group classes.
What to Expect in Matwork Classes
Mat Pilates uses your body weight and small props like resistance bands, balls, and blocks. Classes focus on core strength, posture, breathing, and controlled movement. You'll work through a structured sequence appropriate for your level, with exercises modified to suit individual needs.
Class atmosphere: Friendly, supportive groups of up to 12 people. Rachel provides hands-on corrections and individual attention while maintaining the flow of the class.
What to bring: Comfortable workout clothes, water bottle. Mats and props provided in Skipton. In Barnoldswick you will need to bring your own mat.
